Mike liked the feeling of the water lapping around his ankles, and the fog that hung low in the air. He liked sitting on the edge of the lake, taking an occasional drag from his cigarette, and just contemplating what he was going to do with his life. He looked out to the other side of the lake,…

Parvati saw him laying by the lake, eyes closed. She grinned, running over, but when getting close enough she began to walk silently as to surprise him. He didn’t look up, so she continued, and when reaching him, she lay next to him without touching, trying to make his day.

Mike was in tune with the world, and so as the grass rustled beside him, he knew someone had appeared. He opened his eyes, but stared unblinking at the sky for a few moments before looking over to see who had accompanied him. He couldn’t have been happier, and, despite the taste of cigarette smoke on his lips that he prayed she wouldn’t taste, he cupped her face in his palm and kissed her, pulling her to lay on top of him as the wet grass soaked through his shirt and the wind made their blushing cheeks even redder.

“Hey handsome.” Parvati grinned at him, finished kissing him. She rested her face against his, basking in the bliss that was Michael Corner. His eyes were so blue, like the sky,  but deeper, almost like you could see right through them. They were like the ocean, always moving, but always beautiful. His lips, it seemed, were as vast as the ocean, and she was swimming in them. ((I SHOULD BE AN AUTHOR WE SHOULD WRITE A BOOK TOGETHER READY GO))

The moment seemed like it could go on forever, the connection between them like a fuse, flowing in perfect harmony. He stroked her cheek with one hand, holding her back with the other as she lay her head on his chest. For a long time, neither said a word, and he closed his eyes again and felt her head move, sychronized with the rise and fall of his chest. “I was thinking about you.” He whispered quietly, and the words hung in the air, caught in the mist blowing off the lake. He moved his hand up her side, and as he did, her shirt slid up under his fingertips.

“I’m always thinking about you.” She put her hand on top of his as it slid up her shirt, closing her eyes now. She could feel the constant rise and fall, rise and fall, rise and fall of his chest. She could hear him breathing and could almost hear the smile on his face. She opened her eyes for one second, though, to peck his lips and say, “I love you.”

He whispered it back, and held her face to his, kissing her with more love then he ever had. His hands moved of their own accord, sliding her shirt up over her head, stroking her cool, bare skin, pressing her closer to him as his lips moved from hers to her collar bone, which he kissed lightly. His head felt light and blissful as he took in the familiar scent of spice, flowers and apricots that she so often had about her, a scent that he had begun to associate to love, and the bliss just made him want her more, not only physically, but deeply in his heart.

  2. An orange-yellow color like the skin of a ripe apricot.

Does it taste like a peach?

Kind of yeah… But a little sweeter, and less tangy.

Mike liked the feeling of the water lapping around his ankles, and the fog that hung low in the air. He liked sitting on the edge of the lake, taking an occasional drag from his cigarette, and just contemplating what he was going to do with his life. He looked out to the other side of the lake, and saw that day was slowly breaking, and another, he knew, was going to be spent in the dark dungeons of Potions, or the moss covered greenhouses of Herbology. As he put out his cigarette on the bottom of his shoe, he stared up at the castle and wondered what Parvati might be doing. Probably still sleeping, innocent and beautiful and perfect. He closed his eyes and let himself fall back into the dewy grass, musing over his luck in finally having a love, which he thought was one of the best things life had to offer. He ran a hand through his hair, and tried to concentrate on nothing but the wind, water, and life around him.

Mike slipped the last jug of butterbeer into the basket and pulled the checkered blanket over the food. A smile flickered across his face and he dashed out of his dorm room and into the common room where he collided with Roger Davies and ducked out with an apologetic…

Mike wrapped his arms around Parvati’s waist and kissed her back, oblivious to the stares of the other Gryffindor girls. The kiss broke and he kissed her cheek and let her down onto the ground again beaming. Parvati’s smile was like the sun to him, nothing could make him happier, and nothing could give him more satisfaction. “Hello beautiful. How was potions?” He said, eyes taking in everything about her.

“Well Potions sucked, but since your here, it doesn’t matter now that you’re here.” She grinned and kissed him quickly again, taking his hand and leading him away from the room. “Where to?”

“Well,” Mike said grinning, “I found something interesting. You know how I spend all that time by the lake?” Parvati looked up at him curiously. “I found a clearing in the woods by the lake a while ago. I’ve only ever taken… one other person there, and I want to share it with you.” He leaned down and kissed her passionately, holding her chin with his free hand. “But first,” he said breaking away, “I want to show you something.” He started to walk again, but this time he took the lead bringing her to the “secret” of the castle that everyone knew, the Room of Requirement.

“Okay.” She responded, feeling quite giddy. Her heart was racing, as it always was around Mike, and she was more excited than she had been for a long time. She looked up at him, and all she could do was grin and be glad she’d found him.

Mike thought about the room he’d prepared for this date, and after three times thinking about it, the door appeared and he pushed it open, leading Parvati in in front of him with his hand over her eyes. He had set up a gallery of his work, and all over the walls were his sketches, drawings, paintings of her, the way he saw her, in the different parts of their relationship, even some from their friendship. They were set up in a sort of timeline, and he was really hoping she’d like it. He bit his lip nervously, and moved his hand, smiling.

Well damn, you’re a lucky girl… almost as lucky as he is to have such a wonderful and gorgeous girlfriend.
What’s her name? She sounds pretty great.

Oh something with a P… Parv… Parvati, I think? And you’re right, she’s incredible.

Oh, she sounds amazing! But I think my boyfriend is a lot better.

I highly doubt he’s good enough to deserve you.

Mike and his LOVELY girlfriend

A smile flickered across his face and he dashed out of his dorm room and into the common room where he collided with Roger Davies and ducked out with an apologetic smile. He sped through the castle to the door of the potions room, and as the Gryffindors began to flood out, he waited to see the most gorgeous girl he knew.
